Last Chance! Our Lighting Retrofit Promotion Ends Dec. 31, 2024
Don't miss out on the opportunity to help your small- and medium-sized businesses take advantage of rebates for replacing T8 and T12 linear fluorescents with qualifying LEDs. We've created some new marketing materials for you to use when promoting the Lighting Retrofit rebate (see below).
As a reminder, from now until Dec. 31, 2024, BES will DOUBLE the rebate for replacing T8 and T12 fluorescents with qualifying LEDs. We’ve capped the bonus rebate at $1,000, which makes this the perfect promotion for your small and medium commercial customers. Contractors will also receive an installation incentive of $50 per project. We mailed information about the promo to contractors the last week of April.
Here’s how you can help make this promotion successful and bring added value to your customers:
- Consider mailing the flyer to your small- and medium-sized businesses. You could also print some to distribute at Chamber of Commerce gatherings or similar events.
- A newspaper ad, newspaper article, radio script and social media posts are also available to help spread the word.
- Talk to your BES rep if you’d like to offer customers a free lighting audit. The BES team will be helping with those as time allows.

- Understanding Demand and Energy brochure
- Electric bills for businesses typically have two primary components — demand and energy. The energy portion of the bill is the total electricity used during the billing period. The demand portion of the bill is the highest amount of electricity used at a single point in time (15-minute increments). This four-page brochure can help your utility customers understand the difference.
