14 MRES member utilities and 2 associates recognized for reliable electric service to their communities

Fourteen public power utilities that are members of Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) and two associates have earned national recognition for achieving exceptional electric reliability in 2020. Certificates of Excellence in Reliability were awarded by the American Public Power Association, a trade organization that represents more than 2,000 not-for-profit, community-owned electric utilities.

Six members and one associate of Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) are among the 108 public power utilities nationwide to be recognized this year for outstanding service under the American Public Power Association’s (APPA) Reliable Public Power Provider (RP3) program. In addition, two MRES members are among the 129 utilities to earn APPA’s Safety Award of Excellence.
