16 MRES member utilities and one associate recognized for reliable electric service

Sixteen public power utilities that are members of Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) and one associate member have earned national recognition for achieving exceptional electric reliability in 2022. The recognition comes from the American Public Power Association (APPA), a trade group representing more than 2,000 not-for-profit, community-owned electric utilities.

WMMPA signs contract for construction of Marshall Solar Plus

The Western Minnesota Municipal Power Agency’s (WMMPA) Board of Directors, following a recommendation by the Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) Board of Directors, has approved a Build-Own-Transfer Agreement with US Solar for the development and construction of the Marshall Solar Plus project in Marshall, Minnesota.
