Keeping the lights on and the water flowing is something that Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) Members and Associates are experts at, and your reliable services are one thing customers can count on during these uncertain times. MRES applauds and thanks each of you for your dedication. Without electricity or water service, this crisis would be much, much worse.
One of the keys to reliable electricity is ensuring that your staff is safe and healthy so they are able to perform their jobs. We know that many of you have instituted policies and procedures related to COVID-19 and we are creating a repository of actions members have taken in the Members-Only section of the www.mrenergy website. If you haven’t already done so, would you send your related policies to Valerie.Larson-Holmes@mrenergy.com?
Below is an update on actions MRES is taking to protect our employees, our members and their customers:
- MRES has extended the closure of our office and employee quarantine through Friday April 17, 2020.
MRES staff is working from home and is available to take member calls and questions. You may call the cell phone of any employee listed in the MRES Member Directory or call 800-678-4042 and leave a message. Your message will be routed to the appropriate person.
- A few key personnel are working in the headquarters office in Sioux Falls to support operations, finance, IT, and emergency response.
- Distribution maintenance crews in member communities will continue to perform essential services only. Crew members are working alternating schedules.
- Power plants will continue normal operations using alternating crews when possible.
- MRES staff will not make any member or customer visits during this self-quarantine period through April 17.
MRES will continue to provide updates as the situation changes. We are sending wishes and prayers that all of you stay safe and healthy!
