As reported earlier, MRES has cancelled the in-person Annual Meetings of Missouri River Energy Services (MRES) and Western Minnesota Municipal Power Agency (WMMPA), scheduled for May 6-7, 2020 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Abbreviated versions of the MRES and WMMPA Annual Meetings will be held concurrently via webinar on Wednesday, May 6, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Draft agendas for both meetings are attached to this email.

It is very important that we have a majority of official Representatives (Reps) or Alternates (Alts) in attendance at the webinar so that the agencies will be able to conduct business at the meetings. A voice roll-call will be taken at the beginning of the webinar, which will serve as the roll-call for both MRES and WMMPA. Voice roll-call votes will also be taken with respect to each action item. Please make sure that at least the Rep or the Alt from your community can attend.

MRES will send calendar invitations containing login information for the webinar soon. This information will also be included in the formal meeting notices sent out prior to the meeting. We ask that you accept the calendar invitation if you are able to attend and decline if you cannot attend, so that MRES has an accurate registration list and we can reach out to members if they don’t respond. Acceptance of the calendar invitation will be your registration for the meeting.

Reps and Alts will receive an electronic packet of Annual Meeting materials about a week before the webinar with the information you need to participate. Even though we will not be able to meet in person, we look forward to providing you with a look back at 2019 and discussion of MRES’ plans for 2020.

After the Annual Meeting webinar, MRES will provide all members with access to the recorded Year-in-Review and the CEO message so you can share this information with your policymakers and staff who are not able to attend the webinar.

The Missouri Basin Municipal Electric Cooperative Association (MBMECA) and the South Dakota Municipal Power Agency (SDMPA) annual meetings will be held via webinar at a later date. More details to come.
