MRES Supervisor Essentials – 3rd Session

The MRES® Supervisor Essentials course emphasizes the tools, knowledge and connections for new leaders to accelerate the transition into a supervisory role. The course consists of four separate sessions that will be held in the board room at the MRES office in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The 2025 course dates are April 16-17, June 25-26, Aug. 20-21 and Oct. 15-16.

Who Should Attend

The Supervisor Essentials Course focuses on developing new front-line supervisors or those aspiring to move up to a position as a crew leader or supervisor, including:

• Field crew (lineworkers, technicians in electric, water, wastewater, street)
• Employees who work in the front office or directly with customers

Course Fee

The fee is $3,000 for the entire four-session course, which includes most materials, the assessment, breakfasts, lunches and breaks. MRES will provide a 50-50 cost-share to MRES members who commit to the full course. MRES will issue a refund on advanced registration, provided MRES is notified by March 31, 2025. No refunds will be granted after April 1, 2025.

This is a one-year course. Those registering should fully intend to participate in each session, as they must be taken in the order given.

Lodging

Lodging is not included in the course fee. MRES has arranged discounted lodging for each session at the Homewood Suites hotel, right next to the MRES office:

• October session — Sept. 22
